    How fancy text works

These aren't fonts. A font changes how letters look on your own screen, and the change is lost when you paste. These generators swap each letter for a different Unicode character that happens to look styled: the bold A is MATHEMATICAL BOLD CAPITAL A, a separate character from A. That's why the style survives a paste into a bio, a username or a chat.

The same trick has limits. Some letters were never added to Unicode in some styles, so each page lists its gaps. Search engines and screen readers treat the characters as symbols, so a screen reader may read cursive text out letter by letter by its long Unicode name, and a search won't find it. Keep the styled text for decoration, and write anything people need to read or find in plain letters.

    Where it works

These characters are part of standard Unicode, so most phones and computers have fonts that show them. Older devices and some games lack the rarer ones and show empty boxes instead. Zalgo and glitch text pile combining marks onto each letter, and the marks can spill over the lines above and below.

    Questions

How do I copy fancy text?

Type in the box at the top, then press Copy on the style you want, or open its page for more options and its own copy button.

Can I use different styles in one line?

Yes. Mix styles word by word, above: pick a style for each word, or one for every word, and copy the line. The previews show it in a profile and as a name.

Why do some letters show as boxes?

The device you're looking on has no font with that character. The text is still there; it shows on a device that has the font.

Can I change it back to normal text?

Yes. Most pages convert both ways: paste the styled text and swap the boxes to get plain letters back.
