    About puzzle #8

    Puzzle #8 is the one for Saturday 10 October 2026: a harder Saturday puzzle, in Vigenère. A keyword sets a different Caesar shift for each letter in turn, so the same letter is written differently in different places. That defeated simple letter counting for three centuries.
